Join Us! Girl Rising Documentary Film

We invite friends and supporters of The Kikulu Foundation to mark your calendars for Thursday September 26th. TKF has been selected to be a part of the documentary film screening of GIRL RISING presented by The Gendercide Awareness Project.

Girl Rising is a highly acclaimed documentary film that has earned rave reviews in private showings around the country. CNN chose Girl Rising as the debut broadcast for its new CNN films. The film uses real-life stories to show how education improves the prospects for girls, changing not just their lives but the lives of their families as well. This is the celebrated “girl effect” – the dividends reaped by an entire society when girls are educated.

Education for children in Uganda, particularly girls was a driving force and inspiration for the founding of The Kikulu Foundation. Of the 140 children we help educate at our partner orphanage in Uganda, many of them are girls. We are excited to be a part of the screening for Girl Rising, a documentary promoting educating girls in developing countries.
