Part-Time REMOTE Intern Position

Social Media/Visual Story-Telling/E-Commerce


To Kikulu Foundation is currently seeking an enthusiastic fall intern who would like to contribute part-time (10-20 hours a week) during the 2016 fall term. Ideally, we are looking for someone who will also receive coursework credit for their efforts. You will work with our team in the management of our social media platforms – Facebook, Instagram, Web Platforms, Blog, Vimeo, Youtube, etc. This will involve growing our following, monitoring, posting and scheduling on social media outlets. Additionally, you will be responsible for identifying influencers and supporters, spotting trends, and carrying out organization’s voice and tone on our social communities. You will also have the opportunity to create and pitch ideas to help lay the groundwork for the following:


  • Instagram and e-commerce strategy for our fair trade Kikulu Collection
  • Creation of an Individual Giving Campaign via a Crowdfunding Platform
  • Creative End of Year Fundraising Donor Ask
  • Social Media Give-a-ways & Contests


What we’re looking for:

  • HS Diploma with some college completion
  • Knowledge of social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Vimeo and Instagram. Web and blog platforms a plus.
  • E-commerce interest and experience a plus
  • A one world mentality
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Ability to self-manage and pitch creative ideas
